I was born in England, of Australian parents. My forebears go back to the first settlers in Australia, a long way by white-Australians standards, but they stemmed from Britain if you go back far enough. I write a lot about Australia, England or Ireland (where I spent many years), and about my travels. I have the peculiar perspective of a trans female who transitioned later in life.
In fact, the transition occurred at the precise moment when I transitioned from a career in Science and Engineering to on in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have been writing poetry for a few years now, mainly because I find it to be a direct channel to the soul. It stirs my innermost emotions and widens my appreciation of life.
